Client Success — Seamless additions!

Recently, one of our clients wanted an addition to their house. They wanted to ensure their new addition matched the existing structure, and wanted a vintage, eclectic style throughout. When the renovations were complete, they had this to say:

“What Finecraft did with the addition was match it exactly to the old part of the house. You can’t see the difference between the old and new parts of the house; it’s seamless. It’s a pretty remarkable job!”

Finecraft’s renovations helped give them the style and ambiance they wanted.

See the project in our gallery.

The Cheapest Bidder: Are they Really the Cheapest?

You’ve heard “you get what you pay for.” So is the cheapest bid always worth it?

Not always. Often, the cheapest bid sacrifices quality, and costs you more in the long run.

Here are some tips to make sure you’re always REALLY getting the most for your money.

  • Do your own research: Go to each contractors’ projects and evaluate who you want to go with based off your experience.
  • Talk with their past clients to hear what they have to say of their experience.
  • There’s always room to cut costs. Ask your contractor where the adjustments can be made to accommodate your needs and wants.
  • Look at their website. This gives you a chance to see some of their work.
  • Remember,  the money spent on remodeling your house is an INVESTMENT.
  • If you see a large discrepancy between bids, find out what sets the bids apart. You might think you are saving big bucks, but are you? Is the winning bid going to provide the quality you need or go the extra mile? Are they skimping on materials?

Sometimes, the cheapest bid is actually the most expensive!

“When friends start to talk about their contractors, inevitably the horror stories come out, but in my case I have only praise and thanks for FINECRAFT for making my remodeling experience easy and manageable. I felt well informed about what they were doing every step of the way and never felt that I was left without help.”
